Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead large-scale SAP transformation initiatives, with a primary focus on migrating SAP ECC environments to SAP S/4HANA through the SAP RISE program. The role requires extensive experience delivering complex ERP implementations and transformations, managing cross-functional teams, coordinating business and technical stakeholders, and ensuring successful project execution from planning through post-go-live support. The successful candidate will have experience with SAP architecture, business processes, cloud transformation strategies, SAP Activate methodology, and ECC to S/4HANA migration programs, including at least one migration to SAP RISE.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA transformation and migration initiatives utilizing the SAP RISE framework.
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Drive program governance, steering committee meetings, executive reporting, and stakeholder communications.
• Manage multiple workstreams including Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, and Technical teams.
• Ensure project milestones, deliverables, and quality standards are achieved.
• Lead SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration strategy, planning, execution, and cutover activities.
• Coordinate system conversions, greenfield, brownfield, or selective data transition approaches.
• Oversee readiness assessments, custom code remediation, business process redesign, and system integration activities.
• Manage data migration planning, testing, validation, and reconciliation efforts.
• Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and SAP Activate methodology.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, SAP partners, system integrators, and technical teams.
• Facilitate executive-level communication and decision-making regarding project risks and issue resolution.
• Manage SAP RISE vendors, consulting partners, and third-party implementation resources.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, compliance, and cloud operations teams.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and roadblocks.
• Drive organizational change management, user adoption, training, and communication strategies.
• Oversee testing cycles including SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing.
• Lead go-live planning, cutover execution, hypercare support, and project stabilization.
• Establish project governance frameworks and reporting structures.
• Monitor project KPIs, budget performance, resource utilization, and overall program health.
• Ensure compliance with PMO standards, audit requirements, and corporate governance policies.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of SAP project management experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.
• Proven experience managing at least one full lifecycle SAP RISE implementation or migration.
• At least one completed migration to SAP RISE.
• Strong understanding of SAP Activate methodology.
• Experience managing budgets exceeding $5M and geographically distributed teams.
• Demonstrated success leading complex ERP transformation initiatives in enterprise environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP RISE, SAP Cloud solutions, data migration methodologies, and SAP integration technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Certifications
• SAP Activate Project Manager Certification.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.
