Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Resource Scheduling (RSH) Functional Consultant to lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Resource Scheduling functionality within an SAP S/4HANA Service Management environment. This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end scheduling and dispatch capabilities that enable efficient planning, assignment, and optimization of field technicians and service resources. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scheduling processes are fully integrated, tested, and production-ready.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead requirements gathering and fit-gap analysis for SAP Resource Scheduling / Multi-resource Scheduling (MRS) functionality within SAP S/4HANA Service.
• Configure resource scheduling components, including resource pools, qualifications, availability rules, and scheduling strategies using both rule-based and optimizer-based approaches.
• Integrate Resource Scheduling with core Service Management processes, including service orders, service contracts, maintenance notifications, and technician assignments.
• Configure and align technician availability and absence data through HR Mini-Master or time management integration.
• Define and configure scheduling board layouts, resource hierarchies, and dispatcher views.
• Design, configure, and test scheduling optimizer rules based on skills, geography, travel time, working hours, and resource capacity.
• Collaborate with Service Management, Plant Maintenance (PM/CS), and HR functional teams to resolve cross-functional dependencies.
• Support data migration and cutover activities for resource master data, qualifications, and scheduling rules.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for scheduling scenarios.
• Document system configurations, business processes, and technical solutions.
• Provide post-go-live support, including issue resolution, performance tuning, and hyper-care activities.
• Train dispatchers, planners, and technicians on scheduling board functionality and exception handling.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of SAP functional and configuration experience.
• Experience participating in at least two full-cycle SAP implementations involving Service Management or Plant Maintenance.
• Hands-on configuration experience with SAP Resource Scheduling / Multi-resource Scheduling (MRS), including scheduling board setup and optimizer configuration.
• Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA Service Management processes, including service orders, service contracts, maintenance notifications, and billing.
• Experience integrating scheduling functionality with HR time and absence data using HR Mini-Master or equivalent solutions.
• Knowledge of resource qualifications, skill-based resource matching, and territory/geography-based dispatch logic.
• Ability to translate business scheduling requirements into effective SAP system configuration and process design.
• Experience working within distributed onshore/offshore delivery models.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work directly with business users, dispatch teams, and operations stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience optimizing scheduling processes to improve resource utilization and operational efficiency.
• Experience supporting production deployments, hyper-care activities, and continuous process improvements within SAP S/4HANA Service environments.
