Position Description: CGI is seeking a Senior SAP Project / Portfolio Management Lead - PS/EPPM, bilingual in French and English, to join a major ERP transformation program.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and implementation of project management, portfolio management, planning, costing, and project financial management processes within SAP.
The individual will act as the functional lead for the Project & Portfolio Management domain and work closely with Finance, Procurement, Data, Integration, and Architecture teams to ensure an integrated end to end solution.
Your future duties and responsibilities: Lead the functional design of SAP Project System (PS) and Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM).
Lead Fit to Standard workshops and translate business requirements into standardized and sustainable SAP processes.
Define target processes covering the complete project lifecycle, from project creation through project closure.
Design project structures, including WBS elements, milestones, activities, budgets, and cost elements.
Define processes for project planning, budgeting, forecasting, commitments, and cost control.
Design mechanisms to compare actual costs, commitments, budgets, and forecasts.
Define portfolio management processes, initiative prioritization, and project performance monitoring.
Ensure integration of PS/EPPM with SAP Finance/Controlling, Asset Accounting, and Procurement.
Participate in the design of capital project and asset capitalization processes.
Define reporting, dashboard, KPI, and analytical requirements for project and portfolio management.
Work with integration teams to define interfaces with external project planning, asset management, analytics, and data platforms.
Identify gaps between current business processes and standard SAP capabilities and recommend appropriate solutions.
Challenge customization requirements to promote Fit to Standard and Clean Core principles.
Document design decisions, target processes, functional requirements, and business rules.
Participate in the definition and validation of master and transactional data required for the PS/EPPM domain.
Collaborate with data migration teams on project data mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
Define functional and integration test scenarios and support SIT and UAT activities.
Support defect resolution and ensure the functional quality of the solution.
Contribute to training, knowledge transfer, deployment readiness, and stabilization activities.
Act as the SAP PS/EPPM functional authority for the client, CGI teams, and technology partners.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Mandatory Requirements
Professional fluency in both French and English, written and spoken.
University degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant SAP experience, including significant experience in project and portfolio management.
Minimum of 7 years of hands on experience with SAP PS and/or EPPM.
Demonstrated experience with SAP S/4HANA.
Participation in at least 3 major SAP implementation or transformation projects, with significant responsibility for the Project System / Project Portfolio Management domain.
Extensive experience with WBS structures, project planning, budgeting, commitments, actual costs, forecasting, and project closure.
Strong understanding of the integration between SAP PS/EPPM and FI/CO.
Experience with capital projects, asset management, and integration with SAP Asset Accounting.
Strong understanding of the integration between project management and procurement processes.
Experience designing portfolio management, prioritization, and project governance processes.
Experience leading Fit to Standard workshops and designing target business processes.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into simple, standardized, and maintainable SAP solutions.
Experience with functional testing, integration testing, and UAT.
Excellent communication, workshop facilitation, and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively with functional, technical, and business teams.
Services under the engagement must be performed from within Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Private Edition / RISE with SAP.
Strong expertise with SAP Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM) capabilities.
Experience with SAP Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) or comparable portfolio management solutions.
Experience with SAP Asset Accounting, Investment Management, and Controlling.
Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for project planning, forecasting, or analytics.
Experience integrating SAP with external project planning solutions such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
Experience integrating SAP with enterprise asset management solutions such as IBM Maximo.
Experience with SAP BTP and Integration Suite.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Power BI.
Relevant SAP certification.
Experience in the public sector, infrastructure, construction, or asset intensive organizations.
Experience delivering complex transformation programs involving significant capital project portfolios.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000 -$110,000.This role is an existing vacancy.
