Responsibilities

  • Assist supervisor in project-related tasks.
  • Apply standard techniques with minor modifications as needed.
  • Develop asset criticality framework.
  • Implement maintenance reporting metrics like MTBF and MTTR.
  • Drive FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) processes.
  • Establish and optimize preventive maintenance programs.
  • Assist in formulating strategic plans for asset reliability over three to five years.

Summary of Description:

The Technician will work under the supervision of an assigned specific discipline and based on experience the individual evaluates, selects, and applies standard applicable techniques. Could include discipline work of purchasing, expediting, NDT Inspection, project controls, surveying, laser scanning, schedulers, planner, construction inspectors, project coordinators, automation, controls, etc.

Duties:
  • Assists assigned supervisor in various aspects of projects assigned.
  • Applying standard discipline techniques to make minor adaptations and modifications.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with additional specialized training, or college course work, and at least sixteen (16) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

License Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License as per State law or requirement


Specific Skills:
  • Detailed working knowledge of Policies and Procedures related to project work.


Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk up to one mile on industrial plant and construction sites outdoors at any time of the year.
  • Ability to work in protective clothing which may elevate body temperatures by several degrees Fahrenheit for periods of up to 15 minutes without a break.
  • Ability to use multi-level stair towers and rung ladders unassisted.
  • Ability to hear safety alarms and signals while wearing hearing protection.
  • Ability to sit at desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear.
  • Ability to see with visual acuity and distinguish between colors.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.
