Full Job Description

The SAP EWM Lead will be responsible for evaluating and enhancing all current warehouse SAP EWM processes and workflows within Neogen’s distribution and logistics operations. This individual will collaborate closely with warehouse teams to design and implement efficient, streamlined workflows for key operations including receiving, put away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, and stock transfers. The SAP EWM Lead will play a critical role in ensuring warehouse operations align with best practices and are optimized for efficiency. This position also includes responsibility for training and developing warehouse staff to effectively utilize SAP EWM processes and tools to drive continuous improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate Current SAP EWM Processes: Analyze current warehouse workflows within SAP EWM to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and Implement Efficient Workflows: Develop and design optimized workflows for warehouse operations, including receiving, put away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counting, and stock transfers, ensuring alignment with operational goals.
  • Process Improvement and Optimization: Lead efforts to improve and automate warehouse processes through SAP EWM functionality, enhancing operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs to warehouse staff on SAP EWM processes, best practices, and system usage to ensure successful implementation and adherence to optimized workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including IT, Operations, and Supply Chain, to ensure SAP EWM configurations meet operational requirements and support broader business objectives.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track the performance of new workflows and processes, providing regular feedback and reporting on KPIs and operational efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date on SAP EWM best practices and industry trends to ensure ongoing system improvements and innovations.
  • System Troubleshooting and Support: Provide ongoing support to warehouse staff regarding any SAP EWM system issues, troubleshooting, and resolving any challenges that may arise.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, skills and experience required includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain management, with a focus on SAP EWM or related warehouse management systems.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and workflows, including receiving, put away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counting.
  • Proven experience in process design and workflow optimization within SAP EWM.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders
