Job DescriptionWe have an opportunity for a Salesforce Solution Architect with expertise in core and Marketing Cloud. This role can be located anywhere in the United States but our preference is for candidates living near a Perficient office. The role could require up to 25% travel annually.
ResponsibilitiesThe pillars of being a successful Solutions Architect at Perficient are:
- Provide Salesforce architecture solutions for projects that span Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot), including lead-to-revenue design, prospect-to-lead/contact sync architecture, and campaign automation.
- Work with the Sales team to accurately scope new projects for new and existing customers. Describe the art of the possible across Engagement Studio nurture programs, lead scoring and grading, segmentation, and Salesforce Connector architecture.
- Build deep relationships with customers, knowing their marketing and sales funnel better than they do, and leading them as a "sherpa" or "trusted advisor" through the Salesforce ecosystem. When necessary, feel comfortable having hard conversations.
- Be the technical lead on the project and design the overall solution across both the MCAE and Sales Cloud data models. That includes identifying sync, data-skew, and consent/compliance risks early and communicating them often. It also means fully understanding and following the process so you can lead by example and support consultant growth.
- Be the technology expert in the room, deploying best practices for Salesforce Connector (v1/v2) setup, field mapping, data governance between MCAE and Salesforce, and marketing automation architecture. You're also consciously growing your expertise and filling potential knowledge gaps.
- Assist consultants in QA'ing user stories, guiding their work, and ultimately owning the project's success.
Qualifications- 3+ years of consulting experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, including dedicated implementation experience with Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot).
- Experience working as part of/leading a project team.
- Sales Cloud Consultant certification required.
- Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Specialist required; Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Consultant certification strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience configuring the Salesforce Connector (v1 or v2), prospect field mapping, and prospect-to-lead/contact sync behavior between MCAE and Salesforce.
- Working knowledge of Engagement Studio automation, automation and segmentation rules, dynamic lists, and lead scoring/grading models.
- Understanding of email deliverability, consent management, campaign taxonomy and data governance considerations within MCAE.
- Service Cloud Consultant certification, Experience Cloud delivery experience, and familiarity with CRMA/Tableau reporting are all a plus.
Who We're Looking For
Technical depth gets you in the door. Beyond that, we're hiring for four qualities together, not any one in isolation: humble, hungry, and smart.
- Humble - a team player first. You teach as readily as you learn, and you don't need to be the smartest person in the room to add value.
- Hungry - genuinely curious and self-driven. You take on a new certification or course because you enjoy it, not because it's assigned, and you dig into unfamiliar problems until you've figured them out.
- Smart - people-smart. You read a room, enjoy talking with customers, and can hold your own in front of a client audience.
- Excited about AI - you're already using AI tools to work faster and deliver better outcomes, and you want to keep pushing on that. This is where our SF+ practice is headed, so it's a practical, non-negotiable skill, not a nice-to-have.
