Full Job Description

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer and Solution Designer to design, build, and deliver scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform. This role requires deep hands-on expertise and strong technical judgment to solve complex challenges and help shape the platform’s evolution across Sales Cloud, Data Cloud/Data360, Agentforce, and the Lightning Platform.

We are transforming our CRM environment into a more intelligent, automated, and agentic platform that helps sales teams work more effectively. This role is foundational to that transformation, connecting data architecture, AI, and platform modernization. You will lead two related workstreams: building a clean, unified Salesforce data foundation across Sales Cloud and Data360, and configuring Agentforce agents that use that data to support sales workflows. This role owns delivery end to end and is ideal for someone with strong engineering practices, sound technical judgment, and an interest in applying emerging Salesforce AI and data capabilities. This is a new position.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Data Integrations

  • Partner with internal data teams to design, validate, troubleshoot, and maintain Salesforce data integrations and platform-level data flows.

  • Define how new data lands in Salesforce using clear mapping specifications, relationship models, lookups, custom or external objects, and External IDs to support accurate record linking and prevent duplicates.

  • Ensure integrated data is accurate, reportable, and easy for sales teams and leaders to understand.

  • Support integration between Salesforce and source systems using REST/SOAP APIs, ETL, and middleware tools.

  • Maintain data specifications and mapping documentation, including transformation logic and error diagnosis steps.

Data Cloud/Data360, Agentforce & AI (Emerging Area)

  • Configure and support Data360 data streams from external sources, custom objects, and Sales Cloud objects, including Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, and Activities.

  • Support data ingestion, identity resolution, data modelling, segmentation, activation, and clean handoffs into the analytics layer.

  • Configure, test, and support AI-assisted workflows using Flow, Apex, Agentforce agents, prompt engineering, and builder templates across Salesforce use cases.

  • Evaluate and integrate AI and LLM capabilities with Salesforce data for targeted business use cases.

  • Partner with sales teams to identify, prioritize, and refine use cases based on workflow impact and performance.

  • Document architecture decisions, data models, and agent configurations to support an open, auditable platform.

  • Establish data quality monitoring, governance processes, and stewardship practices with internal teams.

  • Own end-to-end delivery from build to deployment, ensuring data quality, governance, security, and best practices are followed.

Platform Administration

  • Deliver backlog items by applying foundational Salesforce administration, configuration, automation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, follow DevOps release processes, and document completed work.

  • Partner with the Salesforce Admin to document legacy configurations and establish new platform standards.

  • Troubleshoot issues across security, data flows, automation, configuration, code, and performance, providing clear root cause analysis and recommended resolutions.

What you Bring:

  • 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, with strong Sales Cloud knowledge.

  • Strong Salesforce Platform Administration foundation, including user management, object and field configuration, security model, and data model.

  • Deep expertise with Flow Builder, including screen flows, record-triggered flows, auto-launched flows, sub flows, invocable actions, debugging, error handling, and governance.

  • Strong understanding of data architecture, including data model design, custom objects, schema optimization, ETL processes, large data volumes, and performance optimization.

  • Hands-on SQL and SOQL experience for data validation, investigation, and troubleshooting.

  • Development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce.

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Apex, JavaScript, Python, or Java.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented approach, focusing on data accuracy, platform stability, scalability, and operational efficiency.

  • Experience with Salesforce and Azure DevOps and release management tools.

  • Experience delivering Salesforce projects with data integrations (internal systems and/or Excel files).

  • Commitment to continuous learning in emerging technologies and software best practices.

  • Hands-on experimentation with Data360 and Agentforce, with demonstrated learning progress.

  • Active Salesforce certifications; Platform Administrator and Platform App Builder.

Desired Experience & Skills:

  • Experience with Data Cloud/Data360, Agentforce, or other Salesforce AI capabilities.

  • Salesforce certifications; Platform Developer I/II, Architect (path), Data Cloud Consultant, or Agentforce Specialist (active or in progress on Trailhead).

  • Exposure to Tableau or other analytics platforms.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role:

  • Strong builder mindset—you deliver working solutions, not just designs.

  • Proven experience and comfortable operating across flow, config, code, data, and AI.

  • Able to balance speed with sound architecture.

  • Curious and proactive in learning emerging Salesforce and AI capabilities.

  • Focused on real business impact, not just technical implementation.

  • Deep Expertise in Salesforce Admin, Flow, platform configuration, solution delivery.

  • Broad Capability in Data Cloud, Agentforce, AI/LLMs, integrations, scalable architecture.

Compensation:

The anticipated compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $107,000 annually, which represents base salary and, where applicable, variable compensation components (e.g., annual bonus, commissions, etc.). Actual compensation will be determined based on many factors such as role location, candidate experience / qualifications, market conditions, and internal equity.

AGF aims to offer a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package designed to support the success and well-being of our employees, which may include a combination of base salary, variable compensation, benefits, and retirement savings plans.
