Role Summary:

Caterpillar is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to support the Customer Solutions Core Regions Managed Accounts team through sales enablement, business insights, customer experience, and digital adoption.

In this role, you will turn data, customer insights, Salesforce activity, and digital content into actionable recommendations, standard work, and sales tools that help account teams improve execution, drive adoption, and enhance the customer experience for key Caterpillar customers.

What You Will Do (Job Duties):
  • Analyze business data, customer signals, Salesforce activity, and market trends to support Managed Accounts strategy, account prioritization, solution planning, and business decisions.
  • Develop and continuously improve analytics standard work, including reporting, dashboards, data definitions, coding practices, and insight delivery.
  • Manage data request intake by prioritizing needs, coordinating follow-up, communicating with stakeholders, and driving requests to resolution.
  • Partner with CAT Digital, Construction Industries Analytics, and other business teams to improve data quality, visibility, and decision support.
  • Track customer connectivity, hierarchy updates, and data-cleansing efforts in partnership with the Customer Success Office and related teams.
  • Support key department rhythms, including annual business planning, monthly business reviews, 4DX/WIG reporting, team communications, and leadership updates.

  • Value Selling: Understand how products, technology, and services create customer value and support solutions that address customer needs and business priorities.


Top Candidates Will Have:
  • Experience in marketing, analytics, business operations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success supporting sales, customer experience, commercial initiatives, or business operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with CRM, reporting, and business systems; Salesforce preferred.
  • Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and influence adoption in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience supporting sales enablement, training, communications, process improvement, or change management.
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar customers, dealer operations, managed accounts, or commercial processes preferred.


Additional Information:
  • Preferred location: Peoria, IL; Chicago, IL and Irving, TX will also be considered.
  • Relocation assistance is available.
  • Travel: Up to 10%.
  • Visa Sponsorship/ISE assignment is not available for this position.
  • This role requires onsite work five days per week.


Summary Pay Range:

$89,210.00 - $133,810.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
