Role description

A Sales Support Specialist who will provide support to Client Partners and Sales teams - managing proposals and RFI/RFP responses for medium to large deals, and delivering the commercial, financial and administrative support that keeps accounts running day to day.

The opportunity:
  • Manage proposals end-to-end - organizing, planning and tracking the bid, and working closely with sales, account, services and other functions to prepare a compelling response
  • Respond to RFIs and RFPs, prepare client proposals, and scope client requirements
  • Support pre-sales activities - setting up meetings, coordinating across multiple disciplines and driving pursuit discussions towards a winning proposal
  • Format and package bid response documents ready for submission
  • Create SOWs and pricing models, and prepare financial models to support deal shaping
  • Own financial management and forecasting for the account, applying strong financial discipline
  • Build account plans, and measure and track finance KPIs against plan
  • Create reports and dashboards that give sales leadership a clear view of account performance
  • Conduct client research and analysis, create client org charts, and map stakeholders to guide account and pursuit strategy
  • Open service orders and requests, manage timesheet submissions, and keep day-to-day account operations running
  • Coordinate client interviews and arrange client meetings; take, publish and circulate meeting minutes
  • Manage client and executive communications, providing regular status updates and highlighting issues and challenges to ensure timely intervention
  • Work with marketing teams on GTM and campaign activity


What you need:
  • At least 8 years of applicable experience in a sales support capacity
  • Ability to write sales content from scratch, relevant and customized to client requirements
  • Ability to build SOWs, pricing and financial models, and manage forecasting with accuracy
  • Ability to organize, plan and track bid and account activities, gather inputs from stakeholders and stitch them into a coherent, compelling response
  • Ability to produce executive-quality presentations, reports and dashboards
  • Ability to research client organizations, build org charts and map stakeholders into an actionable account view
  • Strong financial management discipline and commercial judgement
  • Highly detail oriented, with strong organizational and multitasking ability
  • Strong inter-personal skills and confidence engaging senior stakeholders
  • Strong communication and language skills, written and verbal
  • Self-driven and motivated, comfortable working with autonomy
  • A strong pre-sales and sales-support background
  • Proposal and SOW writing skills
  • Working knowledge of financial management, forecasting and pricing models
  • Proficiency with presentation, spreadsheet and reporting/dashboard tools
  • A technical or communications degree would be an advantage
  • Certifications like APMP will be an advantage

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: In Toronto Office Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays

Compensation Range: $104,000 to $130,000 CAN
