The AWS Industries (AWSI) organization supports Fortune 200 enterprise organizations in their journey to AWS. AWSI is looking for an experienced Sales Strategy and Operations professional to partner with our NAMER Sales Leadership team to define, land and execute against the organization's strategic priorities. This "COO of Sales" type role, is responsible for everything from helping the Sales Leader define local market strategies and growth programs, to the day-to-day execution of business. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high visibility organization where you'll become a trusted advisor to their Sales leaders and make a meaningful impact on managing the operational aspects of the business.
The Strategy & Operations Field Advisor role has three key priorities: 1) manage business execution activities, 2) define new business and organizational frameworks as the business scales, and 3) drive the strategic support activities for annual and long-term planning and forecasting. The Strategy & Operations Field Advisor is an expert in key operational activities, including but not limited to sales forecasting, revenue routing, territory design, sales incentive compensation, quota setting, pipeline management, annual territory planning, goals setting and organizational planning. The successful candidate has excellent business and sales acumen, strong communication and collaboration skills, deep B2B analytics experience, broad technical skills, and a demonstrated ability to both execute and influence. They must be willing to roll up their sleeves, be comfortable with ambiguity, and have a passion for driving operational excellence.
Key job responsibilities
As Field Advisor, your role is critical and highly visible across the organization. Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Participate in the definition of the goals, drive programs, tooling, and dashboards to meet the rapid growth of the business and achieve attainment of strategic objectives
• Track and report all key performance indicators, goals, efficiency and trend analyses during monthly business reviews
• Lead strategic planning and annual planning activities for account teams
• Execute and manage incentive compensation strategy
• Drive process improvement and change management - lead and deliver enablement
• Create and manage the operating cadence for account teams
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
