Full Job Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Shared Services Org (SSO) is seeking a Sales Strategy & Execution Lead to drive strategic programs and cross-organizational initiatives across our public sector sales portfolio. This role works across Strategic Pursuits, Greenfield Sales, and Business Contracts - owning and delivering programs that connect the pillars, building scalable processes that improve how the org operates, and leveraging data to drive decisions that accelerate growth.

As a Sales Strategy & Execution Lead, you will independently own cross-SSO projects from scoping through delivery, develop go-to-market strategies, build operational mechanisms, and create the analytics infrastructure that keeps leadership informed. You will work with stakeholders across all three SSO pillars to drive alignment, remove blockers, and ensure initiatives land on time and with measurable impact. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with strong program management discipline, thrives in ambiguous environments, and has a proven track record of building and delivering programs from the ground up across multiple business lines.

Key job responsibilities

Cross-SSO Program Ownership & Delivery

- Own and deliver cross-SSO projects and initiatives end-to-end - from scoping the problem, defining the approach, gaining stakeholder buy-in, through execution and measurement.

- Drive programs that span Strategic Pursuits, Greenfield Sales, and Business Contracts - managing scope, timelines, dependencies, and cross-functional coordination.

- Build scalable, repeatable processes and operational mechanisms (MBRs, QBRs, operational reviews, reporting cadences) that improve consistency across the organization.

- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams, proactively identifying risks and removing blockers to ensure on-time delivery.

- Develop detailed project plans, maintain comprehensive documentation, and communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders.

Strategy Development & Planning

- Develop and implement sales/business development strategies, go-to-market plans, and growth initiatives that support all SSO pillars.

- Analyze business trends, market demand, and emerging needs across Strategic Pursuits, Greenfield Sales, and Business Contracts to identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement.

- Translate leadership priorities into actionable plans with clear milestones, owners, and success metrics.

- Design sales acceleration frameworks and enabling mechanisms that integrate revenue growth plans with operational execution.

Business Performance & Analytics

- Build dashboards, analytics frameworks, and automated reporting solutions that provide visibility into cross-SSO performance.

- Source, analyze, and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data from multiple business units; report on pipeline metrics, business forecasts, and initiative effectiveness.

- Provide fact-based insights into variances and trends; quantify business impact of initiatives to inform prioritization decisions.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

- Work with stakeholders across Strategic Pursuits, Greenfield, and Business Contracts to drive alignment on cross-cutting initiatives.

- Present strategies, progress updates, and business cases to senior leadership to secure support and investment.

- Influence without authority across teams with competing priorities; build credibility and trust through consistent delivery.

- Coordinate with cross-functional partners (finance, HR, enablement, central ops) to ensure programs are resourced and unblocked.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of program or project management experience

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree or equivalent

- Knowledge of SQL

- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

- Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
