Sales Representative - Modernization

Your main responsibilities

The Modernization Sales Representative identifies opportunities through key customer contacts and industry information to uncover sales opportunities for company products. This role prepares documentation for prospective customers and ensures it is communicated effectively. He or she is responsible for managing existing customer accounts while driving business growth and expanding customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet and/or exceed assigned sales and customer objectives.
  • Negotiate contract terms favorable to the company.
  • Analyze customer needs and secure desirable business through the effective application of company products and services.
  • Maintain favorable client relationships and assess and follow up on customer complaints through satisfactory resolution.
  • Prepare estimates for the sale of company products.
  • Prepare and maintain required customer information and files in accordance with established procedures.
  • Work with owners and building management to obtain maintenance agreements, renew existing agreements, and identify opportunities to update systems to meet new code requirements or incorporate new technologies.
  • Source, analyze, communicate, and apply competitive market data to create a competitive advantage for the company.
  • Communicate necessary information to both customers and internal operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve sales cost objectives.
  • Retain and grow the customer base while managing accounts receivable for assigned accounts.
  • Develop negotiating strategies with minimal oversight from management.
  • Plan, develop, and implement sales strategies for specific negotiations that align with internal product strategy while meeting customer requirements and addressing competitive offerings.
  • Understand the company's financial goals and expectations.
  • Participate in professional development programs to enhance knowledge of company products, services, and procedures.


What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or minimum of 3 years of industry sales experience.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite software, Lotus Notes, SAP preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Must have good conflict resolution skills

Base Salary $74,800 - $93,500

Revisions to the range may be considered based on your experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities. Please note that the compensation listed reflects only base salary and does not include commissions or longer-term incentives
