Job Description

The Sales Operations Specialist supports the day-to-day execution of sales and operational processes while helping improve the systems, reporting, and workflows that support the business. This role serves as a key resource across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and external partners, ensuring data accuracy, efficient processes, and timely resolution of operational issues.

This role works closely with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, distributor partners, and external service providers to support business operations. While much of the role focuses on execution and data management, the ideal candidate will also bring curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset to help identify opportunities for future process and system enhancements.

Please note, this is a hybrid role.

The ideal Sales Operations Specialist is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with a mix of established and evolving business processes. This person should enjoy solving problems, working with data, and finding practical ways to improve how work gets done.

Salary: $86,000 - $92,000 base, Bonus: up to 10%

Reporting

The Sales Operations Specialist reports directly to the Senior Supply Chain Manager.

Key Roles:

Sales Operations & Commercial Business Support
  • Support daily sales operations through order entry and customer fulfillment management.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for distributor partners and internal stakeholders on operational matters.
  • Monitor and resolve order issues, aging orders, and process exceptions to support customer service and business objectives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of operational issues.

ERP & Systems Support
  • Maintain customer master data, product information, and pricing in coordination with the finance, accounting, and supply chain departments.
  • Ensure data accuracy through ongoing maintenance, validation, and auditing.
  • Support ERP transaction processing and day-to-day system administration activities.
  • Be the subject matter expert in order fulfillment to support future ERP, technical, and process improvement projects.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve system functionality and business processes.

Reporting & Analysis
  • Develop and maintain recurring sales, inventory, operational, and ad hoc reports.
  • Analyze data and identify trends, issues, and opportunities to support business decisions.
  • Validate information across multiple systems and investigate discrepancies.
  • Create and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and key performance metrics.
  • Utilize Excel skills to organize, analyze, and present data.

Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, reporting, and workflows.
  • Support projects focused on efficiency improvements, automation, and process standardization.
  • Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
  • Assist with cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving operational performance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Communicate clearly and effectively across departments to resolve issues and support business objectives.
  • Provide responsive support while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.


Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Experience in distribution, consumer packaged goods (CPG), beverage alcohol, food and beverage, manufacturing, wholesale distribution, or supply chain operations preferred.
