Full Job Description
Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is searching for a Sales Operations Manager to support the company's strategy of enhancing the continued growth and development of sales operations. This role will be responsible for owning the mapping and documentation process for the sales team; maintaining key performance indicators, service level agreements, bid templates and overall operational support of the sales team.

Meyer Utility Structures is an industry leader in the engineering design and fabrication of concrete, lattice, and tubular steel structures for transmission, distribution, and substation applications.

What You'll Do:
  • Own the sales process (map and documentation); constantly seek and install improvements and efficiencies
  • Design, maintain, and display KPIs to measure commercial performance
  • Author, install, and maintain service level agreements with adjacent departments and functions
  • Identify process bottlenecks and make recommendations on a quarterly basis
  • Create and manage the process for updating cost estimates, updating estimates annually
  • Provide monthly sold vs. executed for margin comparison
  • Establish and maintain a risk register to define which contracts have commercial risks and quantify dollars
  • Track and provide trending data on all accounts' margins
  • Create and update the Estimate at Completion template, devising a simple way to compare sold vs. estimate
  • Update (or recreate) the bid template, ensuring all stakeholders use this form consistently
  • Create and maintain a document that delineates individual plant capabilities to optimize order placement by account/customer
  • Track all concessions requests/costs
  • Work with the Value Stream Managers to design and continuously improve a bid summary page and workbook to accommodate current business needs, ensuring scalability for growth
  • Create a bid win/loss tracker to better understand concrete pricing
  • Other duties as assigned


What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering is required, Master of Science in Civil Engineering is a plus
  • 10+ years of experience sales and marketing experience in steel structures, infrastructure and services
  • Technical sales experience along with an engineering project management background required in an engineer-to-order
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create presentations for internal/external customers
  • Ability to model the Meyer Utility Structures Guiding Principles
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven customer relationship development
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
