Job Description

This role is responsible for meeting the sales objectives for ReedHycalog business unit within NOV for the Permian district's customer base. The individual will be responsible for implementing sales strategies for account managers, engineering personal, and distributors to achieve revenue goals for the Permian District.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Set performance metrics for District Sales personnel to achieve goals.
  • Managing local account reps and sales engineers
  • Assist with the hiring and development of local sales team.
  • Establish regular sales calls on directional companies to help promote product and understand upcoming market shifts for drilling.
  • Target new customers, set up MSAs, and establish credit.
  • Help identify areas needing product development to increase performance to lower customers' AFEs.
  • Educate district field reps and sale force on product knowledge
  • Communicate with management on market changes to TAM, rig count, and customer outlook.
  • Visit customer offices to promote product sales.
  • Investigate product complaints and assist engineering and sales force in finding solutions to product related problems
  • Participate in trade shows and customer events for ReedHycalog business unit.
  • Assists district manager in forecasting sales and inventory management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5-10 years of relevant technical sales experience calling on customers
  • Experience managing people.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent.
  • Preferred: plus 5 years' experience in the drill bit industry.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Work may require evening and weekend work
  • Previous customer-facing experience
  • Candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills to include the ability to provide group presentations in a seminar environment.
  • Domestic travel is required quarterly.
  • Valid US driver's license and safe driving history
  • Adheres to all HSE requirements
