Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead our consumer electronics sales efforts with a focus on Regional CE Accounts, Enterprise, and Wireless distribution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving sales growth, building strong relationships with key accounts, and developing strategic plans to increase market share within the consumer electronics industry. This role requires a deep understanding of the retail landscape, and a passion for consumer technology products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Account Management:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets with nationwide accounts.
    • Manage and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including buyers, category managers, and senior management.
  • Develop joint business plans with top retailers that align Skullcandy's category strategy with buyer objectives, including new product launches, promotional calendars, and merchandising initiatives.
    • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and optimize product placement and promotion.
  • Sales Leadership:
    • Lead outside sales representatives focused on consumer electronics, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
    • Set clear objectives, monitor progress, and ensure the team meets or exceeds sales targets.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and product launches tailored to customer base.
  • Business Development:
    • Identify new business opportunities within the customer ecosystem, including online and in-store channels.
    • Work closely with product development teams to align product offerings with market demand and customer preferences.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers to maximize profitability and market share.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
    • Monitor sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.
  • Leverage syndicated data, vendor portal dashboards, and internal analytics to measure ROI of programs and provide actionable recommendations.
    • Prepare and present detailed sales reports and forecasts to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery to customer locations.
    • Work with finance to manage budgets, forecasts, and profitability analysis.
  • Act as the voice of the retailer internally by providing feedback to product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure Skullcandy remains the preferred brand partner.

Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of sales or account management experience in consumer electronics, accessories, or adjacent retail categories.
    • Demonstrated success in managing key regional and national retail accounts, with a deep understanding of their business model and customer base.
  • Experience leading line reviews and sell-in presentations that resulted in expanded shelf space and product adoption.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Skills:
