Summary:
The Sales Manager will manage organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue and expense controls, meeting planned sales goals, setting individual sales targets with the sales team, tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary, overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team.
Responsibilities of the
Sales Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Achieving the highest quality of sales through product expertise and continuous improvement of sales skills
- Direct supervision of Outside Sales personnel
- Develop senior management relationship with customers in their respective territories
- Promotion of sales growth
- Key account management including growth and margins
- Manage the regional territory by account level analysis
- Develop & maintain preferred vendor list
- Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), which will track the process level performance
- Annual budgeting, while ensuring to grow profitability
- Setting goals that are not only achievable but sustainable
- Instigate new improvement actions
- Support regional objectives & opportunities with guidance and support to identify and capture market opportunities
- Responsible for recruiting, retention, and administrative duties regarding employee relations while following company policies and procedures
Qualifications of the
Sales Manager include, but are not limited to:
- 15-20 years of pump experience working with rotating equipment/pumps
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies
- Experience in customer relationship management
- Experience managing and directing a sales team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Dedication to providing great customer service
- Ability to lead a sales team
