  • Craft responses to RFIs and RFPs with commercially sharp written content.
  • Work with the Delivery team on project estimation and planning.
  • Represent Xceptor at industry events and contribute to thought leadership initiatives.
  • Gather client feedback to inform product improvement and support new product rollouts.

Salary Range
  • £145,000 - $150,000 plus bonus of up to 25%
Your Role:

We are looking for a customer-focused Sales Engineer to join our growing North American team in New York. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious technology professional with experience supporting enterprise software sales within financial services or capital markets environments.

As a Sales Engineer, you will serve as the technical expert throughout the sales cycle, partnering closely with Account Executives to understand client challenges, demonstrate the value of the Xceptor platform, and deliver compelling solution presentations. You will work directly with prospects across investment banking, asset management, securities services, and other financial institutions to showcase how Xceptor can automate complex data and operational workflows
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead the technical side of the sales cycle in North America, working closely with Account Managers, New Business Sales, Customer Success Managers, and Partner Executives.
  • Run discovery sessions and whiteboard workshops with operations leaders to uncover business needs and map them to Xceptor's products.
  • Deliver tailored software demonstrations and Proofs of Value that translate technical capability into clear commercial value.
  • Lead complex Proofs of Value end-to-end, including solution design, configuration, and value/ROI quantification to drive business cases
  • Respond to RFIs and RFPs with high-quality, commercially sharp written content.
  • Partner with the Delivery team on project estimation and planning for new opportunities.
  • Represent Xceptor at industry conferences and events and contribute to thought leadership content alongside Marketing.
  • Feed product intelligence and client feedback back into Product and Engineering and support new product testing and rollout.
  • Contribute to global Sales Engineering enablement and best-practice frameworks.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with our clients and prospects
Who we're looking for:
  • 2+ years in a Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Solutions Consulting role at a software vendor, selling into financial institutions - or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable depth in one or more of: trade confirmations, reconciliations, corporate actions, client lifecycle / KYC, fund administration, tax operations, or similar middle and back-office workflows.
  • Strong consultative discovery skills - comfortable challenging client assumptions and reframing requirements around business outcomes.
  • Comfortable presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders, including Heads of Operations, COOs, and Technology Directors.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience desirable.
  • Working knowledge of databases and querying (SQL preferred).
  • Experience with low-code / no-code platforms, RPA, or workflow automation tooling.
  • Understanding of cloud deployment models (Azure preferred).
  • Awareness of how AI is being applied to operations workflows.
  • Practical experience with a sales qualification methodology (e.g. MEDDIC) and CRM tooling (e.g. Salesforce) is desirable.
