Responsibilities
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Sales Engineer to support the sales and implementation of our ECaTS (Emergency Call Tracking System) solutions. ECaTS helps public safety agencies and PSAPs run more efficiently by transforming complex 9-1-1 and NG9-1-1 call data into actionable insights. In this role, you’ll work closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to demonstrate the value of our analytics platform, align solutions with customer needs, and ensure smooth technical integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical advisor in the sales process, supporting account executives during discovery, demos, proposals, and RFP responses
- Conduct customized product demonstrations highlighting how ECaTS turns raw 9-1-1 and NG9-1-1 call data into operational intelligence
- Understand the unique operational and reporting needs of PSAPs and state/local agencies and recommend tailored analytics solutions
- Translate technical product features into clear business benefits for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Support the onboarding and integration process for new customers by collaborating with implementation and support teams
- Act as a liaison between customers and product teams to convey feedback and help prioritize enhancements
- Assist in developing documentation, white papers, and use cases that support the sales process and customer education
- Stay up to date on trends in NG9-1-1, call handling systems, and public safety data reporting standards
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Consultant role preferably in public safety, telecom, or SaaS
- Working knowledge of 9-1-1/NG9-1-1 systems, PSAP operations, or related emergency communication systems strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of data analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools
- Proven ability to lead product demonstrations and simplify complex technical topics
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Experience responding to RFPs/RFIs and public sector procurement processes is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support customer meetings, conferences, or trade shows
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or University with major case work in computer science, engineering or related field required
- Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

The starting salary is anticipated between $90,000 and $100,000 and will be commensurate with experience. This position is eligible for performance incentives. The on-target earnings will be anticipated between $125,000 and $135,000.
