Channel Sales Engineer
Overview
Mimecast’s National Channel team is looking for a Channel Sales Engineer to own the technical relationship and presales enablement for our National Channel Partners. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Sales Engineering, you’ll provide the technical guidance, training, and hands-on support that helps partners confidently evangelize Mimecast and win deals independently. Rather than carrying a single deal through to close, you’ll multiply Mimecast’s technical reach across an entire partner community through certification, enablement, and trusted relationships at every level. You’ll collaborate closely with the US Channel Team, Customer Experience, Service Delivery and Support, Professional Services, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to keep partners technically sharp and aligned with Mimecast’s go-to-market motion. This position will be located in our Lexington, MA offices and will have a hybrid work schedule of a minimum of two days in office each week.

Own the technical relationship with national reseller partners and Managed Service Providers.
Drive the Mimecast certification program across the National Channel Partner community.

Lead joint partner and customer demonstrations that bring the full Mimecast platform story to life.
Develop and maintain trusted relationships with National Partner leaders at the executive and manager levels.
Enable partners to identify and qualify strong-fit opportunities that grow their Mimecast base revenue.
Build and support the partner technical community, tracking and measuring engagement over time.
Lead and contribute to initiatives that strengthen Mimecast’s positioning with partners, customers, and analysts.
Collaborate with internal content creation teams to keep partner-facing technical materials current and high quality.
What You'll Bring
A demonstrated ability to build and manage trusted technical relationships.

Working knowledge of email security, insider risk and data loss prevention, security awareness training, and brand and domain protection.
Experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
Working knowledge of corporate and enterprise IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, networking, TCP/IP, VDI, Citrix, Terminal Services, and application virtualization.
A collaborative approach and the ability to work cross-functionally across Channel, Customer Experience, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
Familiarity with adjacent security infrastructure—such as CrowdStrike, Netskope, Palo Alto mail or gateway solutions, endpoint protection platforms, SIEM, or DLP—is a plus.
Familiarity with AI tools, such as Claude, to support day-to-day enablement and content development is a plus.
