Description Overview Synaptics is looking for a Sales Director to join our dynamic and growing Sales organization. This position will have comprehensive sales responsibility for the Pacific Northwest and Rocky Mountain territories, including all key customers and prospective accounts within the region. You will develop and execute territory and account strategies that increase revenue, expand market share, and position Synaptics for long-term growth. The role will manage relationships with major OEMs and other strategic customers while also identifying and developing new opportunities in partnership with Synaptics' distribution network. The successful candidate will understand and clearly articulate Synaptics' value proposition, product portfolio, and technology roadmaps. This individual will work. This position reports to the VP, Sales and Field Applications. Americas.
The typical base pay range for this position is USD $144,000 - $227,79900 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, equity, and other benefits. Note that compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
Responsibilities & Competencies Job Duties
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales target and expand account penetration for assigned accounts
- Develop, maintain, and grow strong relationships with existing customers while actively identifying, pursuing, and securing new target accounts across the assigned region and accounts
- Drive customer engagements from initial evaluations through design in, design win and on to mass production ramp
- Map out and maintain org charts, executive maps, and penetration plans for all key accounts including key executives and decision makers
- Ownership of all account revenue tracking and forecasting activities including predicting sales trends and maintain a well-organized sales pipeline
- Will have the opportunity to interface and develop senior level executive relationships both internally and externally
- Collaborate closely with peer ODM sales, engineering and marketing teams to influence the development and launch of new products and services tailored to our clients' needs
- Regularly track, analyze, and report on sales performance, presenting findings to senior management

Qualifications (Requirements)
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field or equivalent
- 15+ years of experience in semiconductor sales with a focus on wireless and embedded processors
- Aggressive, highly self-motivated candidate who already has an in depth understanding of selling into the wireless and embedded processor market
- Track record of developing, planning, and executing sales penetration plans to drive Synaptics solutions into customer platforms
- Experience negotiating, closing and driving to deploy large, complex contracts
- Project management experience is a plus
- Travel up to 50% required
