Here's the job opportunity...This is a new position.
Through a consultative selling approach, in a specific territory and working closely with your fellow sales team members, you will achieve planned objectives. This role will be responsible for working mostly remotely and occasionally closely with our advisors within the distributor Experior throughout Canada (mostly in the provinces of Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec).
You will...- Work closely with the Sales VP, Managing Director and Account Management team to develop annual sales plans consistent with regional Experior sales plan for life and critical illness products.
- Assist in keeping Experior offices, within your assigned territory, up to date on advisor's business planning, training and follow-up activity.
- Increase sales productivity of targeted advisor groups.
- Ensure business plans leverage all related ivari electronic processing tools and programs.
- Conduct select presentations on products, programs and practice management tools.
- Regularly network within regional branch offices to grow advisor base through identifying new prospects.
- Participate in select Professional Development (PD) days.
- Implement and sustain a call rotation and activity level which allows you to focus on our key advisors while still supporting the different Experior offices and staff.
- Work closely with Inside Sales Associates to ensure distributor and advisor sales and support needs are met.
- Develop and maintain industry knowledge and awareness of the needs of middle market advisors.
- You will work virtually out of your home base in Toronto (or vicinity).
- Occasional travel will be required at the onset with more frequent travel in the future.
- Be prepared to represent ivari at various events after normal business hours including evenings and weekends.
- Document all sales activity and expenses in Salesforce.
- Develop an 'appropriate' work/life balance.
What we are looking for...- A university graduate or equivalent work experience
- A minimum 5+ year's financial services experience in the Individual Insurance Products industry with particular strength in the universal life marketplace
- Integral knowledge of the Canadian life insurance industry
- Proven ability to seek and identify new business opportunities with a focus on the middle market
- Proven ability to build on existing business
- Proven ability to develop and build on relationships with advisors
- Having sound knowledge of middle market competition
- Ability to anticipate needs and challenges of targeted advisors and understand full scope of their individual businesses
- You have excellent communication and presentation skills
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Sound compliance management
What we pay... $98,000 - $132,000 + a competitive sales bonus target paid out on a quarterly basis.
