Sales Development Manager, Agriculture

We are passionate and excited about how we can develop and utilize new technologies to shape and inspire changes within an ever-growing marketplace. As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Sales Development Manager to join our team.

You will be responsible for increasing sales, enhancing technical presence and leading top level project development at designated strategic accounts and assigned markets to achieve and accelerate high growth targets.

What You'll Be Doing:

Be part of a team that values diversity, sustainability, and continuous innovation, where your ideas and contributions matter.
• Manage the regional Sales Team with the aim of building high level development relationships with regional customers and customer base expansion.
• Create key account plans and business strategies in conjunction with Sales to support growth within the market sector, promoting focus products and application platforms according to the regional and global marketing programs.
• Provide on-going technical and market development support with key decision makers and influencers of said customers using regional and global Marketing/Technical resources as needed. Responsible to prioritise projects and key account activity for optimized fast track growth.
• Active contributor to divisional technical and marketing teams responsible for New Product Development providing on-going feedback of market needs and trends. Use regional key customer network to introduce new Croda technologies/product concepts to reinforce strategic partnerships.
• Be responsible of global technical developments and trends within the market sector. Be recognised as an authority in region and within the Associations and/or market sector. Promote Croda's image through presentations at trade exhibitions, seminars and conferences as required.
• Support all Regional and Global Launches as outlined by Marketing by providing Techno-Marketing training for the sales team and top customers to ensure best use of current/new products, and all new marketing data. Prepare Reports on Key Account Projects and sales successes on NPD on a quarterly basis.
• Has the ability to mobilize the sales effort to achieve customer targets and market expansion is a must.

  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Agriculture Engineering, Agronomy or other technical discipline in the fields of Agriculture.
  • MBA is preferred but not required
  • At least 10 years of solid sales experience in Agriculture specifically in in the fields Crop Protection, Seed Enhancement and/ or Biopesticides
  • Good technical background with good understanding of Chemistry and/or Agronomy.
  • Strategic capability with strong project management skills
  • Advanced Product, Commercial, Technical, Marketing, Trends knowledge related to the sector
  • Capable of sharing, delegating and prioritizing workload, internally across functions and externally with customers
  • Takes ownership with attention to detail and proven track record of delivering results
  • Problem solver, creative approach with a keen "sense of urgency"
  • Excellent communicator with good interpersonal and influencing skills

Annual Base Salary Range: $160,000.00 to $190,000.00
This range reflects the base salary the company reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level. Additional compensation, such as annual bonuses or other incentives, * may be offered based on eligibility and company policies.
