Role Summary:

Lead a team of sales, technical support, application, and product support professionals to strengthen customer loyalty, deliver growth, and achieve business goals within a designated industry segment.


What You Will Do (Job Duties):

  • Lead teams, manage performance, and build accountability to deliver business results.

  • Deliver sales, market share, and business plan targets for company products and services within the assigned industry segment or market.

  • Develop and execute sales, marketing, and merchandising plans that support business growth and customer engagement.

  • Drive customer satisfaction by addressing product and commercial issues and managing service goodwill investments across the industry segment.

  • Lead efforts to identify selling opportunities, improve customer satisfaction, and build stronger business relationships.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Uses data, judgment, and structured analysis to evaluate information, clarify priorities, assess risks and alternatives, and recommend practical, well-informed courses of action.

Effective Communications: Communicates clearly and professionally across audiences, sharing information in written and verbal formats, providing constructive feedback, and adapting style to support understanding and alignment.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience leading sales, technical support, application, or product support teams to achieve sales, customer loyalty, and business plan goals.

  • Success leading teams, managing performance, and building accountability to deliver business results.

  • Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, regulatory considerations, competitive factors, and customer priorities within a designated industry segment.

  • Success developing and executing sales, marketing, and merchandising plans that drive growth, strengthen engagement, and improve customer satisfaction.

  • Experience building productive relationships with customers, dealers, vendors, and business partners to identify selling opportunities and resolve complex business challenges.

  • Ability to use customer insights, data, judgment, and critical thinking to evaluate priorities, assess risks, and recommend practical business solutions.

  • Experience partnering with dealers, sales, and marketing teams to develop sales forecasts, align machine ordering with forecasted demand, and ensure the sales funnel supports achieving the forecast.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence outcomes, align stakeholders, and position value-based solutions around customer needs.

Additional Information

  • This position is located in Philadelphia, PA

  • Relocation assistance is available

  • Visa Sponsorship and ISE are not available

  • Travel expectation for this role is 50% plus

  • Caterpillar requires employees to work onsite 5 days a week when not traveling


 

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
