Job Summary: Sales Compensation Operations Analysts execute the monthly compensation cycle - crediting, close-out, FGA loading, limiters, adjustments and statements - accurately, on time and under maker-checker control. A functional IC role at the heart of correct, timely pay.
Responsibilities
- Execute monthly crediting across in-scope segments with full traceability.
- Perform close-out, FGA loading, limiter management and manual credits/adjustments under maker-checker.
- Support prelims variance checks and reconciliation before pay.
- Investigate and resolve compensation inquiries per runbook.
- Prepare CRB case inputs and implement approved CCB changes.
- Publish seller statements and support the payout-file hand-off to payroll.
- Adopt comp agents as waves go live; route exceptions to the expert pod.
- Maintain SOPs, controls evidence and exception logs.
Requirements
- 8-12 years in Sales Compensation, Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) or commissions operations, with deep hands-on plan-execution expertise.
- Strong command of incentive-plan mechanics - components, thresholds, accelerators, caps, crediting, close-out and adjustment processes.
- Hands-on familiarity with ICM / compensation platforms (e.g., Varicent, Xactly, SAP Commissions, Anaplan Incentive, or equivalent).
- Deep understanding of the monthly comp cycle, pay-readiness/payroll cutoffs, and preliminary-check / variance controls.
- Advanced data skills - expert Excel; comfort with large calculation datasets, reconciliation and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience operating compensation governance (change control, review boards) and building audit-ready, controlled processes.
- Excellent analytical, documentation and communication skills; credible as the escalation authority for complex compensation questions and disputes.
Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline.
