Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a Sales Account Manager to join our Corporate Sales team. The successful candidate will be based out of our Technical Center in Kitchener, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue Tier 1 automotive customers through direct and inside sales; serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned accounts
  • Lead RFQ review and quotation development - analyzing CAD, part drawings, and technical specifications to produce comprehensive quotes covering piece price, tooling, and engineering design costs
  • Compile and manage quotes for engineering changes across active programs
  • Own financial recovery on all open commercial issues including tooling monies, engineering changes, packaging cost recovery, and cancellation claims
  • Monitor and report on future program opportunities at assigned accounts; provide forward-looking business intelligence to senior sales leadership
  • Track and report monthly on customer quality scorecards; collaborate cross-functionally with plant and quality teams to resolve any issues affecting the company's standing
  • Communicate customer requirements, updates, and changes internally to support alignment across teams
  • Maintain thorough and current account documentation (POs, LTAs, SORs, presentations, correspondence) in shared drive
  • Evaluate benchmark parts and contribute R&D ideas based on competitive market insight
  • Coordinate sales support activities including part shipments, display products, packaging quotes, and customer information requests

Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Degree in engineering or business
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive sales, account management, business development, or automotive engineering. Preferably in interior decorative and functional automotive components for automotive suppliers
  • Proven success managing and growing Tier 1 OEM accounts within the automotive parts industry, with General Motors (GM) OEM experience preferred and a strong focus on revenue growth and customer retention
  • Strong understanding of injection molding, plastics, and vehicle interior components (e.g., floor consoles, air registers, overhead consoles, decorative trim)
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and engineering specifications
  • Experience managing RFQs, quotes, commercial documentation, negotiations, and financial tracking with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple customer accounts, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to collaborate across sales, engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM/sales management tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proactive, self-driven approach with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico as required
