Role Overview:

The Sage 500 Consultant will provide comprehensive functional support and business analysis, focusing on the core Sage 500 modules. This role involves overseeing Financials, Distribution, and Manufacturing processes, streamlining critical business cycles like Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay, and managing manufacturing workflows. The consultant will also serve as the primary functional point of contact for user support, issue resolution, and training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and support core Sage 500 modules across Financials (GL, AP, AR, and Bank Applications/Cash Management), Distribution (Sales Order, Purchase Order), and Manufacturing (MRP, Work Orders).
  • Analyze, design, and streamline end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycles, ensuring tight integration with cash reconciliation processes.
  • Deep dive into manufacturing workflows, managing routing, bill of materials (BOM), work order processing, and material requirements planning (MRP) efficiency.
  • Act as the primary functional point of contact to troubleshoot user issues, reconcile module discrepancies, and conduct training sessions.

Required Skills:
  • Strong, hands-on technical and functional experience specifically with Sage 500 (formerly MAS 500).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, query optimization, database design).
  • Proven experience in VB.NET or C.NET (specifically for Sage 500 customization/SDK environment).
  • Expert-level knowledge of Crystal Reports for generating both operational and financial documents.
