About this Role

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC (QISG), a Quanta Services, Inc. company (NYSE: PWR) is looking for a Site Safety Manager will ensure all required environmental health and safety (HSE) activities for the site are accomplished as required by regulatory or policy requirements. The Safety Manager will work with line management and functional areas to ensure that activities of policy and procedure maintenance and development, walkthrough inspections, audits, task evaluations, testing, training, briefings and reporting of performance measures/metrics are completed in accordance with project and company HSE requirements.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive HSE system at the site, in line with the specification & procedure and local regulations
  • Continuous review of site procedures to ensure safe working conditions on site
  • Carry out surveillance of works including the welfare of the workers & equipment to an agreed program
  • Carry out incident investigations and generate reports with remedial action to prevent a reoccurrence
  • Coordinate with the Construction Manager and the Engineering Manager for the safety of the areas responsibility
  • Oversee trade specific safety officers to ensure that they carry out the following:
    • Conduct new hire orientations and assist in completing required HR paperwork.
    • Ensure that the safety work in their respective area is carried out in accordance with the specified safety procedures as required.
    • Conduct toolbox meetings weekly, or as required by jurisdiction
  • Prepare weekly reports on project status and record any accident that occurred on the site
  • Responsible for the checking of all works at site including the welfare of the workers & equipment
  • Ensure safety goals are achieved on every project.
    • No accidents or near misses
    • No OSHA citations
  • Ensure employees have a positive attitude toward safe work practices
  • Ensure employees are well-educated in safe practices and have all the resources necessary to work safely
  • Observe and practice all governmental safety regulations, project requirements and company safety policies
  • Analyze and recommend corrective action for all accidents
  • Be the point of contact for Owner/Client Safety Representatives
  • Post all safety bulletins, safety posters, safety rules, and applicable legislation
  • Coordinate the transportation of injured employees to a physician's office or hospital
  • Maintain relations with ambulance service, fire department and hospitals
  • Performs any other duties assigned
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures
What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Safety Management, ES&H Management or related science/construction field or equivalent experience/training
  • 10 years' minimum experience in safety management with time in similar safety lead position.
  • Knowledge of governmental ES&H standards, rules, regulations and proficiency in applying them to construction projects
  • Working knowledge of safe work practices and experience in conducting accident investigations is highly desired
  • Certifications: 10-Hour OSHA, 30-Hour OSHA, First Aid/CPR, OSHA 500
  • Must be capable of performing physical activities such as lifting to 20 pounds at times, bending, standing, walking, lifting, stretching, climbing, and crawling in both on-site and office environments
  • Must be able to work in varying environmental conditions and uneven terrain

Compensation RangeThe anticipated compensation for this position is USD $146,200.00/Yr. - USD $177,700.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
