SAFETY DIRECTOR
Location - Columbus Ohio
PAY RATE: $90-95/HR
TYPICAL DUTIES•
Conduct jobsite audits, hazard analyses, and detailed assessments of ongoing construction activities.
Evaluate subcontractor safety plans and verify they meet company and contract standards.
Lead companywide safety meetings and specialized safety workshops.
Provide timely safety performance reporting to executive leadership.
Oversee the review and approval of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), pre-task plans, and high-risk work procedures.
Collaborate with project leaders to develop site-specific safety strategies, especially for complex or high-risk scopes.
Implement systems to track safety metrics, leading indicators, and trends to drive continuous improvement.
Serve as the primary contact for regulatory agencies such as OSHA during inspections or investigations.
Ensure consistent application of safety policies across all divisions and project types.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS•
Climb permanent and temporary stairs and ladders
Stand for long periods of time
Use of construction personnel hoist
