SMG seeks a Safety Advisor - Construction in Chattanooga, Tennessee - 1 Day Shift and 1 Night Shift Opening - Per diem is available for this project.The key function of a Safety Advisor is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client's needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. The Associate in this role will work in a construction environment.
This project is rework of a concrete dam.
Additional Information- SMG full-time, benefitted Associates are eligible for Premium Pay after working 40 billable hours for the week. Premium pay is at a 1.35 multiplier.
- Per Diem is available for non-local candidates only. Per diem is $160/day for this project.
- This projects anticpated duration is until the end of November. Anticipated schedule is 12 hours per day. 7 days per week.
- $400 Road Warrior Benefit each month.
- Annual pay/merit review/increase.
Overview of Job Responsibilities- Site safety observations, including documentation of findings
- Must be able to create reports, run safety metrics, and use other software programs
- Conduct Job Hazard Analysis
- Represent the contractor in progress meetings
- Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, and contractors
- Conduct New Hire Orientations and safety meetings
- Provides incident management and support
- Documentation and Report preparation
- Conducts Contractor program reviews
Requirements
- Five plus years of construction safety experience
- BSCP Cert preferred - CSP, CHST, STSC, etc.
- A degree in safety or related fields is preferred
- First-aid/CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
- OSHA 510
- OSHA 30-hr Construction

Salary Description
$80,000 - $105,000
