Full Job Description
Description:

The Safe Clinical Practice Program is looking for a Peter Lougheed Center Physician Lead. Working within the Safe Clinical Practice Program. Together with the Clinical Department Head, medical leads, frontline physicians and clinical staff, and the broader quality improvement and safety teams, the Physician Lead will implement, and support strategies and practice improvement initiatives aimed at patient quality and safety priorities including Required Organizational Practices and other QI initiatives, with a focus on physician engagement and collaboration. Regular RLS review required. Regular attendance at SCPP physician lead meetings is also required.

Qualifications:
• Proven leadership, communication, organizational, change management, team building and facilitation skills.
• Expertise in developing and providing resources, consultation, and collaborative support to stakeholder teams.
• Ability to design, tailor, implement and evaluate effective strategies to meet identified priorities
• Experience in supporting and promoting clinical best practice and experience as a change agent.
• Expertise in: strong verbal and written communication skills, well developed interpersonal skills, ability to cultivate positive relationships and passion for patient safety.
• Working knowledge of the Connect Care Epic System

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
