Full Job Description
Your Opportunity:

This is an ideal role for a very experienced research coordinator/team lead. The successful incumbent coordinates and oversees research activities across multidisciplinary research personnel including physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other research staff. You will provide oversight to ensure research conduct adheres to relevant institutional, departmental, and regulatory policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards. The successful incumbent is able to oversee research data management, including database maintenance, data collection, validation, and quality assurance activities. You have experience in preparing, reviewing, submitting, and maintaining regulatory, ethics, and compliance documentation. This role facilitates the coordination of training sessions and research-related meetings, including agenda preparation and communication with PI and research staff. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for personnel certifications, training completion, and compliance documentation. Track study-related expenses and process financial transactions. Develop, implement, and maintain study checklists, working instructions, and new or revised SOPs. Lead and support external audits and regulatory inspections. Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator (PI). You have association and/or membership with Health Canada, Hreba, Socra, COG and CYP-C and with research accreditation.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline. Minimum 3-5 years of clinical research experience. Working knowledge of TCPS 2, GCP, Health Canada, and FDA regulations. Experience coordinating multiple clinical research studies simultaneously. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. Proven ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary clinical and research teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of attention to detail and commitment to research quality and compliance. Proficiency with research databases (RAVE and RedCap), electronic data capture systems (Connect Care and Netcare), and Microsoft Office applications.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Certification as a Clinical Research Professional (CCRP, CCRC, or equivalent). Prior experience in pediatric oncology or hematology research. Proven strong communication skills both written and oral, change management skills and strategic problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications:
Cultural awareness training. Clinical leadership in complex team environments and are able to make high-stakes decisions. Previous leadership experience.
