Job Description
This is a fully remote role, and the ideal candidate will be located within the Eastern Time Zone. We are seeking a Desk RV/Specialty Estimator with experience in assessing damages for RVs, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in writing estimates from photos and remote inspections, particularly for RVs, which requires a strong understanding of vehicle structures and repair processes. Familiarity with estimating platforms such as CCC or Duncan (RV) is a plus. Strong skill in communication, time management and negotiation. Licensing is not required, but preferred. Candidates without a license must be willing to obtain one during training.
Key Responsibilities
• Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities
• Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines
• Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines
Experience
• 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)
Supervisory Responsibilities
• This job does not have supervisory duties.
As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team. Compensation
Base compensation offered for this role is:
RV/Desk Adjuster Consultant II: $28.03 - $39.42 per hour
RV/Desk Adjuster Senior Consultant I: $35.82 - $50.24 per hour
And is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) if applicable for the role.
