Role Overview:The Robotics - Actin Development Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of robotic systems specifically tailored for oil & gas drilling and pipe-handling applications. This role involves integrating advanced sensors and control systems to enable autonomous operations, developing real-time control software, and conducting rigorous field trials in both simulated and live environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop robust robotic systems for oil & gas drilling and pipe-handling applications.
- Integrate various sensors and sophisticated control systems to facilitate autonomous drilling, pipe-handling, manipulation, and data acquisition.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams to prototype and thoroughly test innovative robotic control solutions for drilling and pipe-handling operations.
- Develop specialized software for real-time control, telemetry, and remote operation of diverse robotic platforms.
- Conduct comprehensive field trials and validation tests in both simulated and live oil & gas environments to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Ensure strict compliance with all relevant industry safety standards and environmental regulations throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.
- Analyze performance data meticulously and continuously optimize robotic systems to enhance safety, reliability, and overall efficiency.
- Document all engineering processes, detailed test results, and system configurations accurately and thoroughly.
Required Skills:- 6 to 7 years of strong Angular experience.
- Hands-on working knowledge of Actin.
- Hands-on working knowledge of Energid robotic control software.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and ROS.
- Strong understanding of control systems, kinematics, and embedded systems.
- Familiarity with sensors commonly used in oil & gas robotics, including ultrasonic, inductive proximity, LiDAR, and pressure sensors.
- Ability to work effectively in field conditions and willingness to travel to remote sites as required.
- Hands-on knowledge of ROS Industrial 2.0, RViz, and MoveIt.
Qualifications:- 6 to 7 years of relevant experience.
