The Role

This Robotic Technician role involves the Pixmo robotic system build-up, in house and near-by customer sites services, system debugging and repairing. You will work closely with the Mechanical, Electrical, and Supply Chain team to see how parts become value-creating robot system and deployed to our customer sites. The position focuses on enthusiasm to robots, craftsmanship, reliability and system integration across electrical, electronics, controls, firmware, and software domains.

As part of a fast-paced robotics startup, you will contribute throughout the full robot build lifecycle - from drawings and prototyping to integration, validation, deployment, and troubleshooting of advanced robotic systems.

What You'll Do:

  • You will build new Pixmos!
  • Provide feedback and guidance on the next generation Pixmo design.
  • Design in-house testing for hardware reliability.
  • Prototype with design engineers for innovative mechanical or electrical concepts.
  • Triage and debug cross-disciplinary issues across mechanical, electrical, electronics, firmware and controls sub-systems.
  • Contribute towards developing processes and documentation for robot assembly, bring-up and troubleshooting.
  • Support field testing, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements for deployed robotic systems.
  • Sharing your knowledge and skills with your teammates, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and growth.


What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in fields such as Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics Engineering or a related field.
  • 1+ years of professional experience working with complex robotic or electromechanical systems.
  • System level hands-on experience
  • Experience with hardware integration, system debugging, and root-cause analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with standard assembly and diagnostic tools, including power tools, hand tools, power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Mentality for fast prototyping and testing.
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic start-up environment as part of a small team.
  • Work on a full-time schedule at our office in Fremont.
  • Open for regular short onsite visits and for extended onsite visits during delivery.


Nice To Have

  • Robot, electrical cabin, automotive hands on experience is strongly recommended.
  • Experience of working with PLCs or micro-controllers.
  • Experience in soldering.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is from $90,000-$120,000/year depending on experience and qualifications.

Additional compensation may include equity/benefits / other incentives, where applicable.
