PAY RANGE:
$40.37 - $72.25

UNION:
SEIU 1199-RN and LPN

SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS/PREMIUMS:

Weekend & Holiday Shifts: Yes

On Call Shifts: Yes

Shift Differentials:
  • Evening - $3.00/hour
  • Night - $5.00/hour
  • Weekend - $4.50/hour


Premiums:
  • Standby - $4.00/hour
  • Charge - $3.25/hour
  • Float - $2.50/hour
  • Per Diem - 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits)
  • Certification - $2.00/hour
  • Preceptor - $2.00/hour
  • San Exam - $500.00


JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients in the surgical unit which spans all population ages from pediatric to geriatric. Promotes continuity of care for patients providing direct care as well as supervising care given by the Surgical Technicians and ancillary personnel. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains standards for professional nursing practices. Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span, possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs and provides the care needed as described in the department/unit's policy and procedures. Shifts vary according to the needs of the patients and department. Has on call responsibilities.

EDUCATION
  • Graduate of accredited School of Nursing, required.


EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum one-year recent surgical experience preferred.


LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS
  • Current Washington State RN license, required.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), required.
  • Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), required.
