About the RN Supervisor role: The RN Nursing Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in overseeing nursing staff and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position is responsible for managing daily nursing operations, coordinating patient care activities, and fostering a collaborative environment among multidisciplinary teams. The RN Supervisor ensures compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices to maintain resident safety and satisfaction. They serve as a mentor and resource for nursing staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to promote professional development. Ultimately, the RN Supervisor drives operational excellence by balancing clinical expertise with effective team management to achieve optimal resident outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program required
- A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Maryland Board of Nursing
- Minimum of 2-5 years of nursing experience, with long-term care or supervisory experience preferred
- Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required
- Knowledge of Maryland nursing regulations and CMS long-term care requirements
Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
- Monitor patient care standards and implement improvements to enhance quality and safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff to develop and execute care plans.
- Conduct staff training and performance evaluations and provide ongoing mentorship to nursing personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and accreditation standards.
- Manage staffing schedules, resolve conflicts, and address any personnel issues promptly.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to policy development and implementation.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to nursing activities and patient care.
Skills:The RN Supervisor utilizes clinical expertise and leadership skills daily to guide nursing teams in delivering exceptional patient care. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and resolving staff issues. Organizational skills enable the supervisor to manage complex schedules, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee documentation accurately.
