Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.

In the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, you will have the opportunity to work primarily day shifts hours (10 or 12 hr), 1 call shift per week, every 5th weekend on call, and only 1-2 holiday call shifts per year!

Procedures performed in our lab include:
• Left and right heart catheterizations with percutaneous intervention
• Complex chronic total occlusion
• Emergency care
• Electrophysiology procedure (ablation, pacemaker, ICD and Bi-Ventricular implants)
• Peripheral Angiograms with intervention
• Catheter-directed thrombolysis or thrombectomy for pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis
• IMPELLA heart pump placement
• Intra-aortic balloon pump placement
• Structural heart procedures (Left atrial appendage closure, Mitral clip, Transcatheter aortic valve replacement)

Nurses in our unit grow in their professional practice, gaining critical skills for the complex care

Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred.

Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
