Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of Rhode Island
• Experience in postoperative care, specifically in PACU settings
• Training in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
• Strong skills in airway management and surgical wound care
• Ability to handle acute patient situations and catheter procedures
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred but not required
• Effective communication skills for patient interaction

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients as they recover from anesthesia
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Provide post-operative care and ensure patient safety
• Educate patients and families about recovery procedures
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure a smooth transition to recovery
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely
• Assist with the setup and maintenance of necessary medical equipment
