Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the state of New Mexico or ability to obtain prior to the start date
• Experience in PACU nursing or related surgical recovery fields
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Proficient in airway management and acute surgical wound care
• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients and families

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery progress following anesthesia
• Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed
• Manage postoperative pain control and provide support for patients
• Perform and assist with airway management and emergency procedures if required
• Educate patients and families on recovery care and discharge instructions
