Daily Pay!

$45-$55 an hour (all-inclusive)

The RN Hemodialysis Nurse provides skilled nursing care throughout the dialysis treatment process while ensuring patient safety, effective clinical outcomes, and compliance with established standards of practice.

Responsibilities for RN Hemodialysis Nurse:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients receiving hemodialysis treatments in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Assess patients before, during, and after dialysis treatments and monitor vital signs, symptoms, and overall clinical condition.
  • Initiate, monitor, and discontinue hemodialysis treatments safely and effectively.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered and monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications.
  • Monitor dialysis equipment and treatment parameters, responding promptly to alarms, changes in patient condition, or treatment complications.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to medical emergencies and changes in patient status.
  • Collaborate with physicians, dialysis technicians, patient care staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
  • Educate patients and families regarding dialysis treatments, medications, nutrition, access care, and other aspects of renal disease management.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation of assessments, treatments, interventions, and patient responses.
  • Provide care and monitoring of vascular access sites and report complications or changes promptly.
  • Promote infection prevention and control practices throughout the dialysis treatment process.
  • Participate in patient care planning, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing education as required.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold the rights, dignity, and safety of each patient.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for RN Hemodialysis Nurse:
  • Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice required.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Previous hemodialysis or renal nursing experience preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of hemodialysis procedures, vascular access management, medication administration, and infection prevention practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient condition.
