RN Educator - Harlem Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation

Location: Harlem, NY

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced RN Educator to join the team at Harlem Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Harlem, NY. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing Services to provide training, development, and support to nursing staff, helping to ensure that residents receive the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Director of Nursing Services in the daily administrative functions of the nursing department.
  • Provide written or oral reports to necessary personnel regarding staff performance and patient care.
  • Develop, plan, conduct, and schedule staff development programs, training sessions, and orientation for new nursing staff.
  • Review and revise care plans and assessments to ensure they meet regulatory and resident care standards.
  • Conduct rounds of the nursing service department to ensure nursing staff are performing duties in accordance with policies and best practices.
  • Monitor absenteeism and staffing levels to ensure an adequate number of nursing personnel are available to meet resident care needs.
  • Serve as a liaison between residents, their families, and other support departments to address concerns and maintain a high standard of care.

Qualifications:
  • Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and regulations, especially those related to long-term care.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required.

Preferred:
  • Previous experience in a long-term care setting.
  • Familiarity with PointClickCare software.
