This full-service hospital includes 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.
We are currently seeking a RN Clinical Supervisor - NICU (Full Time-Nights) The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical and operational leadership for the NICU. This role oversees nursing staff, ensures high-quality patient care, supports regulatory compliance, and promotes a culture of safety and excellence. The Clinical Supervisor serves as a resource for staff, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and assists the Nurse Manager in achieving departmental goals.
Job Duties/Responsbilities: - Provides oversight of daily clinical operations within the NICU.
- Ensures delivery of safe, evidence-based, family-centered care for critically ill and premature neonates.
- Serves as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff.
- Assists with patient care assignments during periods of high census or staffing shortages.
- Facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration among physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and ancillary staff.
- Assists with staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Monitors productivity and staffing levels to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Collaborates with leadership on budget management and supply utilization.
- Ensures proper documentation and adherence to accreditation standards.
- Participates in departmental meetings, committees, and strategic initiatives.
- Promotes family-centered care and effective communication with patients' families.
- Addresses patient and family concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Supports initiatives aimed at improving patient satisfaction and experience.

Qualifications Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- DC RN License required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of recent NICU nursing experience required.
- Previous charge nurse, clinical coordinator, or leadership experience preferred.
- Experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
- STABLE certification preferred.
- National certification such as RNC-NIC preferred.
