Responsible for providing leadership and consultation in the clinical review, evaluation, and procurement of products to reduce product variation, utilization, and costs. This position works closely with the Office of Clinical Effectiveness and teams from all hospital sites to review contracts and assist with the value analysis process. This role gathers information from clinicians, communicates and solicits feedback from hospital personnel, and coordinates the implementation and conversion of products. In addition, this position acts as a resource for Supply Chain Managers, hospital personnel, Corporate Advisory and value analysis committees, and external contracting/clinical committees. This role ensures the quality of products in review and supports the development of consensus supply utilization programs and initiatives.
- Reports to Senior Clinical Resource Manager and collaborates on the implementation of initiatives.
- Applies evidence-based healthcare practices and nursing standards in the implementation and evaluation of products and services.
- Collects, analyzes, and prepares information, conducts surveys, and presents findings for decision-making while applying evidence-based healthcare practices and nursing standards.
- Identifies, communicates, and addresses barriers to Senior Clinical Resource Manager prior to and during initiatives and conversions.
- Leads the established product conversion process from inception through implementation, including monitoring conversions to determine if initial objectives have been achieved.
- Develops effective communication for key stakeholders for all conversions and utilization projects and engages clinicians in discussions of practices and products resulting in successful savings opportunities.
- Facilitates and coordinates with local stakeholders to develop education plans to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines and requirements regarding products and services.
- Integrates, supports, and participates in the value analysis committees regarding products and safety initiatives.
- Serves as administrator for new product requests. Identifies product standardization ideas, facilitates utilization initiatives, and submits savings ideas to the utilization saving shared location.
- Manages supplier relationships to support AdventHealth facilities, ensuring education and in-service needs are met and any product quality assurance issues are addressed and resolved.
- Participates in the Product Disruption Committee and identifies clinically equivalent product substitutions.

- Expertise in understanding variances in clinical practice [Required]
- Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel [Required]
- Strong customer orientation, interpersonal, and communication (oral, written, and presentation) skills [Required]
- Demonstrated competence in multiple clinical settings as a part of or leading care teams [Required]
- Demonstrated quality improvement, analytical and implementation skills with regard to clinical process [Required]
- Thorough knowledge of suppliers, products, services, and equipment used in the healthcare sector [Preferred]
Education:
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
- Master's [Preferred]
Work Experience:
- 5+ years experience as a nurse in an acute care setting [Required]
- 5+ years experience in the operating room, cath lab or critical care environment [Preferred]
- Experience in supply chain functions and value analysis leadership within a multi-hospital system [Preferred]
- Experience with GPO programs and processes within healthcare [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
