We are seeking a technically strong professional to support an enterprise initiative focused on delivering integrations between our ERP platform and the enterprise finance and risk data ware house.

This role contributes to the delivery of trusted, timely, and scalable data that supports business intelligence, analytics, and financial and management reporting. It requires the ability to understand project needs, gather and analyze business requirements from downstream data mart consumers, collaborate closely with Lines of Business (LOB) teams on data mapping, and translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications for technology teams.

The ideal candidate brings solid experience in finance and lending data structures, a good understanding of accounting and finance principles, and practical experience with SQL, ETL tools, BI tools and data warehousing concepts.

Success in this role requires strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across business, technology, and governance teams.

- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Support communication with business and technical partners to ensure alignment.
- Business Requirements & use case Documentation: Gather and document requirements and translate business needs into functional specifications.
- Business Analysis & Data Profiling: Perform data analysis, mapping, and profiling to support integration and reporting needs.
- Technical Delivery partnership: Collaborate with development teams to support solution design and delivery.
- Risk Identification & Mitigation: Identify potential risks and escalate issues while supporting mitigation efforts.
- User Acceptance Testing: Support in UAT planning, test case creation, execution and validation.
- Data Quality & Governance: Support and implement data quality rules, controls, and create documentation.
- Business Intelligence & Visualization: Contribute to reporting and analytics solutions.
- Change Management & Training: Support training materials and assist in adoption of new capabilities.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members and contribute to overall team deliverables.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design, implement, and execute highly complex recurring or ad hoc reports, analyses, data, system-related, or operational tasks in accordance with departmental processes and controls.

2. Investigate and research unexplained variations in reports, data, systems, etc.  Explain results of reports and research to department management and other stakeholders.

3. Develop and administer controls to ensure the integrity of departmental process.  Evaluate and recommend improvements to departmental processes.

4. Assist with development of departmental documentation, particularly for highly complex and technical activities.

5. Serve as a consultative resource and subject matter expert on risk reporting, data, system, or related issues.  Engage with stakeholders to identify business objectives and scope solution requirements. 

6. Plan and manage complex projects, such as development of new or modified reporting in response to process, system, regulatory, or organizational changes.

7. Mentor less experienced teammates to build their own technical expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent

2. 8+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

3. In-depth and broad knowledge within own professional discipline. Solid understanding of key business processes and strategies.

4. Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry. 

5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences.  Ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective and handle interpersonal issues with tact and diplomacy. 

6. Ability to exercise judgment and sophisticated skills in solving complex technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities.

7. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure.  Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Graduate degree in related field

2. 10+ years of related experience

3. Previous experience in banking, with specific emphasis on reporting, business intelligence, systems, technology, data, risk, compliance or related areas

4. Experience working with finance and lending data structures, including risk, credit, or regulatory reporting data

5. Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles as they relate to data analysis and reporting

6. Hands-on experience writing and optimizing SQL for data analysis and reporting needs

7. Practical experience with ETL tools and supporting data integration workflows

8. Familiarity with BI tools and data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling and reporting layers
