Recognized as the highest technical expert in a product line, industry, a risk control program (e.g., MGU program, captive program) or risk control specialty. Individual contributor responsible for business results through delivery of risk control services within an area. Works within the broadest limits of authority requiring the highest degree of technical complexity and coordination. Drives risk control expertise for the most complex risks and participates in the underwriting decision-making process. Geographic span that includes the United States or globally combined with a scope of responsibility for a product or industry in Risk Control.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
1. Support and develop strategies within Risk Control that positively impact profitability and the broader Global Property Organization's goals and objectives, with a specific focus in the areas of fire protection and special hazards.
2. Demonstrates ability to build effective partnerships key segment (Technology, Manufacturing, Life Science, Small Business) leaders to develop and support specialized fire/special hazard risk management strategies
3. Develops and maintains risk assessment technical guidance for fire, special hazards, and human element programs and aligns strategies with organizational goals and codes and standards
4. Serve as strategic partner to Marketing and Client Service leadership and teams, develop custom deliverables and analyzes risk control strengths and weaknesses to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
5. Aligns with Property Learning and Development and Quality Assurance to support ongoing organizational learning, development, mentorship and advancement of industry expertise and specialization.
6. Develops and maintains business relationships with internal and external business partners. Known expert among Risk Control staff and CNA and partners within the industry, actively shaping new industry relationships.
