Primary Duties

THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION

Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, are required

1. Assures all activities are performed regarding safe operational practices and procedures to protect employees, the system, and the public.
2. Oversees functional areas including service, construction/maintenance, meter reading, leak survey, corrosion, measurement, instrumentation, and controls.
3. Manages multiple budgets; monitors actual vs. budgeted expenditures; conducts annual performance reviews of assigned employees.
4. Monitors federal/state laws and company standards to assure compliance with internal/external audits and regulatory requirements.
5. Maintains standards of productivity and safety; conducts training programs to improve performance and assure compliance.
6. Coordinates material and personnel requirements to meet regulatory compliance and customer safety; collaborates with engineering to schedule jobs.
7. Responds to customer inquiries/complaints, coordinates emergency response and leak management activities.
8. Prepares and maintains records/reports including annual surveys, procedures, and compliance reviews.
9. Promotes company vision, strategy, and wellness/safety initiatives; acts as a champion for public/shareholder engagement.
10. Assures all work is following policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
11. Collaborates regularly with other departments to align goals and share best practices.
12. Reviews prior day's work for quality control and continuous improvement.
13. Participates in on-call rotation if applicable.
14. Performs field visits to maintain visibility and support team operations.
15. Establishes and maintains healthy business relationships with area developers, home builders, contractors, and economic/industrial development groups. Educates existing and potential customers on the safety, affordability, reliability, and efficiency of natural gas.
16. Provides 24-hour on-call support for emergency response and incident reporting.
17. Other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and three years of related experience; or
2. A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and five years of related experience.
3. Valid driver's license.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Requires the ability to provide explanations of technical or other complex matters to people with little or no background in the area under discussion.
NUMERIC SKILLS:
Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods and/or make calculations to reconcile financial statements and accounts.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Requires basic computer skills to create standardized documents, reports, or graphics using various software.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Works in both an indoor and outdoor environment. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
