Responsibilities

  • Solve complex RF, system integration, interoperability, and performance challenges
  • Act as senior technical escalation point for strategic customer opportunities
  • Develop and support professional services offerings including integration, deployment, optimization, and training
  • Mentor internal technical teams on advanced RF systems and solution architecture best practices

Recently named by Newsweek as one of the Best American Mid-Sized Workplaces in 2026, Rohde & Schwarz USA is looking for an RF Systems Architect based in our Coppell office to join our growing Applied Solutions team. This is a high-impact technical leadership role focused on architecting advanced RF and wireless solutions across Aerospace & Defense (A&D) and OTA applications. This role combines deep RF expertise, customer-facing solution architecture, complex problem solving, and professional services development to help drive next-generation system solutions and recurring services growth.

Your tasks

  • Partner with customers to jointly architect complex RF, OTA, wireless, and A&D solutions
  • Lead technical discovery, requirements analysis, and solution definition activities
  • Design end-to-end RF system solutions including hardware, software, OTA, chamber, and integrated system architectures
  • Create detailed technical proposals, BOMs, SOWs, and customer quotations
  • Solve highly complex RF, system integration, interoperability, and performance challenges
  • Act as senior technical escalation point for strategic customer opportunities and deployments
  • Develop and support professional services offerings including integration, deployment, optimization, training, and lifecycle support services
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, engineering, services, and support teams
  • Support growth initiatives across A&D, wireless, and advanced RF application spaces
  • Mentor internal technical teams on advanced RF systems and solution architecture best practices


Your qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Physics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in RF systems engineering, wireless systems, or solution architecture
  • Strong expertise in RF systems, OTA testing, antennas, wireless communications, and RF test methodologies
  • Experience architecting complex customer solutions and creating detailed technical quotations/proposals
  • Experience solving advanced technical and system integration challenges
  • Knowledge of A&D, OTA, radar/EW, wireless infrastructure, or RF test & measurement environments preferred
  • Strong customer-facing communication and technical leadership skills
  • In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US, have U.S. citizenship and have the ability to obtain required export compliance and/or security clearance.

The total compensation for this position is $112K-$150K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
