Full Job Description
Description

Markon is seeking an RF Software Engineer to support the Fort Meade customer by developing advanced RF and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) software that enables the exploitation and analysis of complex signals in support of mission operations. This role designs and implements high-performance signal processing algorithms, modernizes software capabilities, and adapts Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) technologies to meet specialized operational requirements. Working within a collaborative engineering environment, the RF Software Engineer develops innovative RF analytic capabilities that support evolving Intelligence Community mission needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement advanced RF and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms for signal exploitation and analysis.
  • Develop high-performance software focused on processing low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), higher-order modulation, and adaptive modulation signals.
  • Design and implement software solutions using C++, Python, Linux, and related technologies.
  • Modify and enhance existing software and firmware to integrate COTS and GOTS products in support of Government mission requirements.
  • Optimize algorithm performance for throughput, accuracy, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, and mission stakeholders to develop and integrate RF analytic capabilities.
  • Document algorithm designs, processing models, and implementation approaches to support knowledge transfer and long-term sustainment.
  • Support software integration, testing, debugging, and deployment throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, technical reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
