Job Description
As a NAVWAR Analyst (RF Data Analyst) supporting the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC), you will contribute to enhancing the Department of Defense's understanding of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) vulnerabilities and threats. Located at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico - the DoD's Center of Excellence for Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) and PNT capabilities integration - you will develop critical NAVWAR insights that support operational readiness and strategic decision-making across multiple defense agencies and coalition partners.

You will leverage advanced analysis software to process and interpret RF data collected from field events and military exercises, providing actionable insights. Your work will directly impact joint planning, Operation Plan (OPLAN) analysis, and the execution of NAVWAR operations across all domains. You will collaborate with engineering teams to gather analysis and data requirements during the planning phase, develop test plans to characterize and assess navigation hardware performance, and handle requests to identify potential RF interference that could impact space launches - ensuring thorough analysis and timely resolution.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop critical NAVWAR insights that enhance DoD understanding of PNT vulnerabilities and threats, supporting operational readiness and strategic decision-making across defense agencies and coalition partners.
• Develop and script data processing workflows to create and maintain dashboards and reports, delivering key insights to internal and external DoD stakeholders.
• Leverage advanced analysis software to process and interpret RF data collected from field events and military exercises, producing actionable insights.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to gather analysis and data requirements during the planning phase; develop test plans to characterize and assess navigation hardware performance.
• Handle requests to identify potential RF interference that could impact space launches, ensuring thorough analysis and timely resolution.
• Provide real-time guidance and expertise on data quality during testing of navigation hardware in field tests and military exercises.
• Shape the strategic direction of PNT systems through insightful data analysis and creation of actionable recommendations.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, applying them to PNT-related challenges to advance JNWC goals.
• Use data insights to identify trends, patterns, and emerging threats - helping shape the operational environment and reinforce JNWC's leadership in PNT superiority.
• Travel in support of military exercises and operational field assessments, applying data analysis to enhance organizational subject matter expertise and inform decision-making.

Required Qualifications
• Active SECRET security clearance.

• Five (5) years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical, or RF Engineering, or Data Science.
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in an Engineering field (Electrical, Mechanical, RF) or Data Science.
• Strong foundation in technical principles and data-driven methodologies.
• Proven track record of applying technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems and drive data-driven insights.

Desired Qualifications
• Experience or familiarity with data manipulation - cleaning, transforming, and analyzing large datasets using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
• Experience coding for data analytics and visualization using Python, R, or JMP to automate workflows, perform statistical analysis, and build interactive reports or dashboards.
• Proficiency with tools and technologies such as JMP, GIANT, GIANT RPM, Builder, Systems Toolkit (STK), or other modeling and simulation programs.
